The client wanted a strong hard wearing surface with a stylish look.
So I measured and designed a drawing to show how the drive would look.
To start we excavated down 300mm taking away all spoil.
We then laid a new aggregate sub base in 100mm layers, all laid on a woven weed control membrane.
We erected a oak sleeper retaining wall and back filled using hardcore, then rubber bound mulch.
All the edgings laid were in granite and milstone kerbs.
A open textured macadam layer was laid to depth of 50mm.
Finally we laid a decorative Resin Bound aggregate layer to a depth of 18mm/ 20mm in Amber mix.
